MCV Education Fund to Senator Daines: “Support Montanans and protect the Blackfoot now.”
New video highlights overwhelming support of the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act by 84% of Montanans
(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Ahead of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources’ meeting to consider the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act tomorrow, September 2, the Montana Conservation Voters Education Fund launched a multi-media campaign in support of BCSA. The campaign, titled “84% for the Blackfoot” is designed to activate Montanans to weigh in with U.S. Senator Steve Daines to support BCSA. The campaign includes a brief video available online HERE.
“This bill is the result of people working together to find solutions in our forests so everybody can win,” BCSA’s sponsor U.S. Senator Jon Tester states in the video. “There are no losers.”
According to a recent poll from Colorado College, an overwhelming majority of Montanans support BCSA at 84 percent.
BCSA is a responsible Montana-made solution created by local communities to protect the clean water, wildlife, and special places where all Montanans can have the freedom to hike, hunt, and explore. Ranchers, timber harvesters, business owners, residents, outfitters and many other Montanans crafted BCSA around kitchen tables and lumber mill conference rooms in order to support the natural places and the activities that are the lifeblood of Montana communities.
The video ends with a plea to Congress to complete this local agreement, and for Senator Daines to join Senator Tester in his support of BCSA, a solution crafted for Montanans by Montanans.
