Conservation group teams up with Montana businesses and organizations to push for conservation efforts in the state
(HELENA, Mont.) – Today the Montana Conservation Voters Education Fund announced its new business partner program, Partners for the Outdoors. This new program aims to build relationships with businesses, corporations and organizations to support the future of conservation in Montana and ensure Montana remains a place where businesses can thrive.
“Montana businesses know that protecting our outdoor opportunities is good for business, and that’s why we’re launching the Partners for the Outdoors program,” said Whitney Tawney, the MCV Education Fund’s Executive Director. “By joining forces with businesses, corporations and organizations, we’re expanding our work at the MCV Education Fund to protect Montana’s outdoor way of life and strengthen support for conservation. We look forward to a long and robust relationship with many of Montana’s finest business leaders, including our inaugural Partner, Clearwater Credit Union.“
Partners for the Outdoors is a new annual membership program that directly supports the MCV Education Fund’s work to engage, educate and empower Montanans to protect our public lands, air, water and climate through the power of grassroots mobilization. By supporting the work of the MCV Education Fund, Partners are helping protect the Last Best Place as a place where businesses can and want to do business. In addition to helping protect Montana’s outdoor way of life, Partners will have access to special events and briefings as well as exposure and visibility in MCV’s monthly newsletter and social media platforms reaching more than 15,000 recipients.
The MCV Education Fund’s first Partner for the Outdoors is Clearwater Credit Union. As a member-owned, values-based financial institution, Clearwater works as a force for good in the communities it serves throughout Montana. As the inaugural member of Partners for the Outdoors, Clearwater continues to solidify its role as a leader in supporting nonprofits in the Montana business community.
“We think of ourselves as 55,000 credit union members cooperating to make banking a force for good,” said Jack Lawson, Clearwater President and CEO. “Our members are deeply devoted to conservation in Montana and are so we are pleased to officially be part of the MCV Education Fund community through their Partners for the Outdoors program.”
