The MCV Education Fund Releases Candidate Education Memos to Highlight Conservation Issues in Montana

Memos provide information on issues addressing public lands, climate change and relevant pending federal legislation

(HELENA, Mont.) – Today the Montana Conservation Voters Education Fund released their 2022 federal and state candidate education memos to spotlight some of the conservation issues Montanans care most about. The memos provide background information and recent polling on a variety of issues including the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act, national monuments, climate change and clean energy.

Protecting our public lands and supporting conservation efforts are nonnegotiables for Montanans, no matter their political beliefs, said Whitney Tawney, the MCV Education Fund’s Executive Director. It’s our job to ensure that the folks running to represent Montanans at every level of office know how to best advocate and legislate for our state’s incredible outdoor legacy.  At a time when our public lands are facing peak use and overcrowding, we need our leaders in DC and the state doing everything they can to protect the Treasure State for future generations.”

Both candidate education memos were distributed to every candidate and are publically available on the MCV Education Fund website here
