(BONNER, Mont.) – Whitney Tawney of the Montana Conservation Voters Education Fund released the following statement after U.S. Senator Jon Tester reintroduced the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act:

“By reintroducing his landmark Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act, Senator Tester is sticking up for our Montana way of life for generations to come. This legislation is a prime example of responsible, Montana-made conservation and sustains outdoor jobs while permanently protecting and enhancing iconic places like the Bob Marshall Wilderness. We sincerely hope Senator Steve Daines and Congressman Greg Gianforte listen to Montanans and join this critical effort.”
